Ok, so today is my first real day of prusuing working from home....so far, not very productive. I edited a picture I took over the weekend in photoshop in order to attempt to post it on a website called istock.com. This is the picture, before photoshop, this is just the raw pic cropped. This site allows you to upload your own pics, video, audio, illustrations, etc . Once uploaded, businesses, production houses, etc. can go on this site and grab files to use for websites, commercials, radio spots, etc. You receive 20% commission when one of your files is purchased. You have to submit 3 pics in order to be considered in addition to taking a quiz...I haven't got that far yet, but I'll let you know when I do! The files on this site are very professional and look quite intimidating, but with a good picture and a little bling added in photoshop, why can't mine make it too! If anyone has used this or know someone who has, let me know!

The plan.....
Ok, so first things first....Friday was my last day working as an Account Executive for a major TV station in a top 25 market! Why you might ask? Sounds like a great job.....I have decided that in the year 2009, there is money to be made from the comfort of your own home and I'm going to find out how! I found myself working to give my paycheck to a daycare where people I don't even know spend more time with my new son than I do myself! It's sad how the world, or America at least, works today. You spend 40+ hours per week in an office and an hour and a half max at home with your family every night. Mornings were crazy, always rushed, always late. Dropping my 6 year old off at school and trying not to make him late once again, then taking the new baby off to a daycare to whom sees more of him, and my paycheck, than I do! All after waking up extra early in order to make myself look presentable before getting everyone else fed, dressed and ready to go. Then, showing up late for work and slaving for the man in order to do what? Pay the daycare!!!!! There has to be mroe to life than this, so I'm on the road to finding out! I plan on posting day to day, or weekly....we'll see how it goes....activities of how I'm making...or not making...money from home. Feel free to post comments, advice, your successes and/or failures and anything and everything you feel like sharing. Random, humorous comments are always welcome! Who doesn't love a nice joke or funny story in the middle of another hectic day?
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
